The CarWith only 3 months to go, and with most
teams already with motors, we decided it was time to
sort out a car.
In a moment of inspiration and with absolutely no
research we decided that Germany would be a good source
for left hand drive bangers.
Luckily we have a friend living in Hamburg as the
language barrier would have been insurmountable, so we
booked a one way flight to Hamburg. We missed that
flight.

Found flight to Frankfurt. Surely that’s
near Hamburg. |

Arrive Hamburg, 3 hours sleep, look for
banger. |

Find banger, attach “personal”
registration plates. |
| Saturday Night: |
The sights of Hamburg! |
| Saturday Morning (4am): |
Start the 1100km drive home |
| Sunday Afternoon: |
Calais, adjust registration plates for
the UK market. |
| Sunday Evening: |
Back where it all began, tired and down
a few hundred Euros. |
